Terms and Conditions

General terms for using Electrical Supply, requesting product information and submitting a quote request or order.

These terms apply when you browse Electrical Supply, submit an enquiry, create an account, request a quote or submit an order. They must be read with any written quote, order confirmation, product-specific terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Storefront information and visual material

Product images, category banners and other visual material may be created by artificial intelligence, enhanced with artificial intelligence, retouched, processed, composited, resized or used for general illustration. Colours, scale, finishes, accessories, packaging and surrounding items may differ from the product ultimately supplied.

Do not rely on an image alone for a purchasing or safety-critical decision. Contact us directly for current information, available specifications, dimensions, materials, compatibility, certification or other details—especially for medical, electrical, protective, structural, load-bearing, food-contact, heat-related or otherwise critical items.

Enquiries, quotes and orders

A cart, enquiry, quote request, automated acknowledgement or submitted order does not by itself mean that an order has been accepted. Subject to applicable law, we reserve the right to accept or decline any order or request, including where information is incomplete, an item or specification cannot be supplied, a price or description contains a genuine error, payment requirements are not met, or the request cannot reasonably be fulfilled. A binding order is formed only when acceptance is communicated in writing or another electronic text-based format by an authorised representative, and any stated payment or verification conditions have been met.

Prices, specifications and availability

Displayed information is intended to assist with enquiries and selection, but should be confirmed before acceptance where it is material to the transaction. A written quote or order confirmation may state the applicable products, quantities, specifications, price, taxes, payment requirements, delivery or collection arrangements and validity period. We may correct genuine errors before accepting an order, without limiting any non-excludable consumer rights.

Lead times and communication

Any applicable production, sourcing, dispatch, collection or delivery lead time will be communicated electronically in a text or other written format, such as email, SMS, WhatsApp, an account message, a written quote or an order confirmation. A lead time is an estimate unless a specific date or period is expressly accepted in that written communication. If a material delay becomes known, we will use the available contact channel to communicate an update and the options available under the agreement and applicable law.

Customer information and approvals

You are responsible for checking the information supplied in a quote or order confirmation, including product, quantity, size, colour, artwork, branding, measurements, delivery details and intended use. Tell us promptly about an error. Where a proof, sample, drawing or specification requires approval, work may not begin until the required approval is received in writing or electronic text format.

Payment, delivery, cancellation and returns

Payment, delivery, collection, cancellation, return and warranty arrangements are governed by the accepted written quote or order confirmation, any applicable published policy and South African law. Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or restrict a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Customised, branded, made-to-order or specially sourced products may require specific written terms before acceptance.

Responsible use and liability

Products must be selected, installed, operated, maintained and used for their intended purpose and in accordance with applicable instructions and professional requirements. Obtain competent advice for critical applications. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was concluded. This clause does not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude.

Intellectual property, changes and law

Storefront text, layout, branding and media may be protected by intellectual-property rights and may not be reused without permission except where the law allows it. These terms may be updated for future use of the storefront; the version accepted for an existing order continues to apply to that order unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise. South African law applies, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rule or agreed dispute process.
